Continuation of...

I quickly wrote this morning about Seth, being home for nine months now. Honestly, before he came home, I was a little worried about how people would react/treat him. I wanted everyone to treat him just like my other children are treated and respected. I don't know why I had this fear, but it's something I prayed about. I think the biggest thing for me is to see people treated fairly. I have always been this way. It doesn't matter what we look like, where we come from, etc., it only matters where we are going....our final destination should be heaven. How are we helping each other along life's path?
After we brought Seth home and he was introduced to all of the Grandma's and Grandpa's, Aunts, Uncles and cousins...(by the way there are a lot of them, some of them haven't met him in person as of yet) we introduced him to our "church family". I was brought to tears at times, over the reaction of love and adoration these people had for my son. I appreciate them all so much! He feels at home there and LOVES going to church. In fact, this last Sabbath, he stayed with me, so he wasn't in his Sabbath School class or church and he has been praying that Garhett and everyone will be healthy so he can go!
There is a couple in our church named Clyde and Shirley..I have known them my whole life. My family and them go back a long way. They actually asked our children to call them Grandpa Clyde and Grandma Shirley....instead of Mr..............and Mrs...... Well, Seth took a liking to them right off. To make a long story short, Seth came into some money, working for Grandma's and such and he decided to buy a doll. It was the first thing he bought after he came home. He bought a cute little girl doll..what did he name her? You guessed it......Shirley! So, he worked and made enough money to buy the boy doll, who he named.......Clyde! It's so sweet...he always makes sure they are tucked in nice and snug every night. He even asked me to make them a little blanket! A few Sabbath's ago we shared with Clyde and Shirley about these dolls, so they asked Seth to bring them to show the next Sabbath. He got the dolls all dressed up in their Sabbath best and brought them!! It was so cute. Rhett snuck in the other night and took a picture of him and his Clyde and Shirley, during his quiet time! What a precious story of this little boy who didn't have a future.....to a boy that has a smile to win over nations for Christ! Thank you family and church family for loving our son as we do! Thanks for accepting him into your hearts and lives!!
