Continued...........

.....Just before the Sabbath hours began on Friday evening, we looked out our back door and found this....
It looked as if Jesus was coming in the clouds of glory to take us to heaven with Him. The picture doesn't do it justice, but the view was spectacular. What a way to bring in the blessed Sabbath hours.....
At church the next day, a pastor, who stands out in my childhood the most, out of all the pastor's we had, spoke. It was a beautiful sermon, his voice and the words he said were so calming and really revitalized the soul. His title was,"The Sabbath: A Day For Healing". His words were poetic, he took us through the Bible and he showed us verses of how the Sabbath was created, at the beginning of creation for healing. Jesus healed on the Sabbath..."It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath". This sermon was a breath of fresh air, so refreshing, like after a rain storm. His closing hymn was this:

Holy Sabbath Day
Holy Sabbath day of rest, By our Master richly blest,
God created and divine, Set aside for holy time.
Yes, the holy Sabbath rest, By our God divinely blest,
It to us a sign shall be, Throughout all eternity.
Seek not pleasures of this earth, With its folly, noise, and mirth,
There are better things in store, Over on the other shore.
As the Sabbath draweth on, Friday ever at set of sun,
Christian household then should meet, Sing and pray at Jesus' feet.
Asking Him for saving grace, Also victory in the race.
And to help us by his pw'r, To keep holy every hour.

I am so thankful for this Bible truth that my family and I look forward to each week. And just think....we will get to enjoy the Sabbath even in heaven! What a marvelous thought!!
After church we went and fed the homeless people of our community. Nathan and Seth enjoyed it immensely this time, more than most weeks. The boys said they want to go and do that every day! Seth, he couldn't understand that people here in America don't have homes, food, cars....he just couldn't wrap his little mind around this. The children loved to serve these dear, unfortunate souls, who Jesus loves and died for.
Today, we went up to our "sister church" and enjoyed their open house, of their newly remodeled building! The kids sang in their choir and enjoyed being with their friends. Their facility is beautiful and it was much needed. I LOVE the smell of new carpet and paint! So, you could say we had a great weekend and now we are starting a new week! One more week then.......spring break!!! May God bless you all......keep looking for His soon return!!
Singing their little hearts out for the Lord! May all of these children walk in His footprints.....
