A Busy Day!

Today was such a busy day!

You know, one of those days, where you think you have everything planned, you know what you are going to do, then things are added too!

We got up, at the regular early time! We started school very early, so we could get the house in order for the Sabbath. I had to cut all of the boys' hair, cook and pack for them to go camping and hiking with their dad. We all were planning on going, but sadly my great-uncle died and I need to go to the funeral. Rhett and the boys' are going to meet us there.

While, I was finishing up with their hair, I was in the middle of mopping when a friend of ours called and said he knew a place where we could glean pears. Another friend of ours has a pear orchard and wanted us to get some. I asked  if I could get them on Sunday, but they really wanted us to go and get them. So, I stopped what I was doing and went to glean eight boxes of pears! (It doesn't take this crew very long.) After that, we came home to finish up stuff here, when that same friend who called came with some more boxes of pears! He said when he had called, I seemed a "little-out-of-sorts". So, he wanted to give us some! So now I have more!! They aren't ready to can or dry yet, so I don't have to spend my weekend doing that!

The girls' and I are going to have fun together, while the boys' hang out with their dad!

I am so tired tonight...I am so thankful the Sabbath hours just arrived. I need a good Sabbath rest. It was a good week, but it was full of hard work! It's time for the body to heal now!
