Could it really be almost Christmas, when there is not any snow on the ground? It is so disappointing for the children and the grown-ups!
I have a suspicion that the snow is going to fly when school starts again!
Last night I did most of my baking for the holidays. Tori and Ellie went over to their aunts' house and helped their cousin frost and decorate sugar cookies. Garhett and Mitchell took their grandma on a few errands and Rhett took the little boys to church with him. So, I got a lot accomplished. Today is going to be cleaning day, similar to most Friday's.
The children had a choir concert last Sabbath evening, they had a piano/violin recital on Monday evening and they are having another choir concert this Sabbath at church. After this concert it will feel like Christmas vacation. It really doesn't seem like it has started yet, because Rhett worked until Tuesday of this week.
For the Christmas choir concert our friend's girls are singing a song with Garhett and Mitchell. Their oldest daughter is playing the piano and their youngest daughter is playing the flute. They sound so great together, it's almost as if they were blood relatives. When I listen to them, I can't believe that they are this "old" already! How can it be? These are precious years and I am enjoying having a teenager, with another one soon on the way! And yes, that is the back of Tori's head!! Her hair gets a lot darker in the winter months.
Well, I am off to take my mother-in-law to a doctor's appointment. I better go and pick her up!
I will try to post other pictures of their concert tomorrow.
It's almost Christmas Eve!!!!
God Bless!
