Affliction

Cast your burden upon the Lord and He shall sustain you. Psalm 55:22
For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; nor has He hidden His face from Him; but when He cried to Him, He heard. Psalm 22:24
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him Pray. James 5:13

We have had this flu for so long.....tears come because of the strain of the illness. I am tired, but gaining more strength again. The kids are over it, except for Tori and Mitchell...they are coughing still, but it sounds a lot clearer. I can't believe we were hit so hard with this! I never get fevers, but I couldn't get this one to go away! I have been fever free for two whole days now and we have done school for the last two days, also! We had a violin/piano recital to attend last night, but Tori and Mitchell still had a low grade fever. This weekend I also missed out on teaching my children's class, a great sermon, vesper's and a wonderful 50th anniversary party and a birthday party for my nephew. You know...I missed all of it, but I don't think everyone wanted me to share this terrible germ we've had either. We've had rain on and off all day, but we have had the sun peak through a few times also. That helps!
Garhett.....he's healing from his scare a month ago and pretty much back to himself. He's getting more driving hours in and is very excited to get his license in a couple of months! (how can this be?)
We are starting to plan our garden. We always get so excited and plant too early...so we are going to try the greenhouse plan! Hopefully Rhett is feeling good enough this weekend to get it up and going. The kids have been working in the garden and tilling it up. The boys tilled it well yesterday and it rained all night, so they tilled the ground again today.....they are determined to have a "record garden" this year. Last year they entered some of our vegetables into the fair and they won 'grand champion' for all they entered! They want to grow tomatoes the size of a man's head! Hey.....it's part of school, eh? I took Botany in school and LOVED it! Rhett and I both love to work outside, so that's where our children get it. Both of our families are this way, so I guess we all come by it right.
Well, looking at the time I better get dinner started. I hadn't written on my blog in so long....I have kind of rambled! God bless and may your health be with you!!!
