Ten Months....

Ten months ago today, we brought our little boy Seth home, to five awaiting, happy, exuberant siblings. He has changed so much, in height, speech, attitude...so much, and yet, he hasn't. He opens up a lot about his past, but I know there is so much more he hasn't told us. Four months ago, today, my Grandpa passed away. How we all loved him and miss him.
The kids are sick, Rhett is home for the rest of the week for his, mid-winter-break. It will be so nice to have him here. I am tired and I am really needing his help! Ellie, has another fever tonight. I have tried everything I know of to help the little thing. Tori, isn't feeling well either. I took Seth to the dentist this week, to check his brace and Tori went with me, because she has had a tooth bothering her. They took one look at it and said it needed to come out. Her new/adult molar was growing out the side. She was so scared....she has never had anything done to her teeth, except cleanings of course. The hygienist was wonderful.....as Tori was quiet, heart pounding and tears quietly rolling down her face, she was such an example to everyone in the room. I didn't leave her side and neither did the wonderful hygienist! I told her, "This too shall pass." The dentist came, gave me a hug and pulled her tooth in less than 5 seconds! Tori couldn't believe it was over!! With her numb, little crooked smile, a tear rolling down her cheek, she said, "Mama! You were right...this too did pass!" It's so hard seeing your child in that situation..........my heart was crying for her and I wanted to cry on the outside. If we feel like this when our children are sick or in pain...how must the heavenly Father feel about us? He is our Father...He knows and feels our pain. If we could just trust Him in ALL things and learn to lean on Him!
Speaking of father's, one of our good friends' father is in town doing a "week of prayer". We have been able to attend a few, but with the kids having fevers we haven't made it to every one. Oh....do they make us think. They are wonderful and I hope and pray they are being recorded! What a wonderful speaker....may God bless him!
Sleep well in Jesus tonight folks..........God bless...........

  2. Some of the meetings are recorded. Some are not... our recorder is fickle.
