The Same Ol' Story

"Well, you can't protect your children from everything. They have to know what's in the world." said a certain woman to another woman. (who would, in this case, be me)

This conversation happened today, a few hours after having a conversation with another woman this morning who has the same ideals and goals as I do. I am so glad that my children don't know who the latest, up and coming band is....or movie star or all of the "newly released" movies or tv shows. That's the World? What? Because we choose not to have tv in our home, go to movies, listen to "worldly" music and homeschool....on and on on on....we are supposedly "hiding" our kids from the world!! That makes you a good person to fill your mind on this corruption? Give me a BREAK!!!! Because my children don't "dress" like the world, talk like the world and act like the world....I am damaging my kids?
The human side of me wanted to say,"WHAT! Are you really that sucked into Satan's snare that you can't see how your kids are turning out? Why are you pointing fingers at me??"
But I did not. I was praying in my mind and did not say anything, except.."There are a lot of snares out there that Satan is laying, isn't there?"
Listen, my kids aren't perfect, they are human. Yes, sometimes they quarrel with one another, yes sometimes we have to sit them down and tell them their behavior was not acceptable....but guess what? They are human and all humans are sinners, except for one whose name is Jesus. But, the difference is, my husband and I are training them up in the way they should go, so when they are old they will not depart from it! The media and other "peers" are not going to raise my children! I rely on the Bible and the Bible only....I will not listen to others who point out how we are "protecting" our children....Jesus was homeschooled! What more do we need as an example? Wake up everyone!!! The time is short and the devil knows that...he is working so hard at tearing families apart.....
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth
