17 Years!

Rhett and I just celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary on Sunday! We left the children in the care of my mother and we went to a distant city. It was so fun to just walk around, eat a leisurely dinner by the water and enjoy each other's company. We stayed over night, in a gorgeous hotel. We were on the 29th floor. The lights of the city were very beautiful, but it made me even more thankful for the view I have each morning out of my own windows. A view of the river and our cherry trees, apple trees, evergreen trees, our garden. The Lord has truly blessed us! I can't believe we've been married 17 years, it seems like it has just begun! What a joy my husband is to me.
We are now getting things ready to leave town, tomorrow afternoon. We are headed to a family camp that begins tomorrow evening and goes until Sunday. It's a little tricky to plan a menu when all we have available is Rhett's little camp stove, but I've got it covered and it will be a blast! My husband's favorite speaker is going to speak and I know it will be very fulfilling. We are taking along one of Garhett's best friends'. Garhett and Dakota have the same idea of growing up to be missionaries in a different country and this camp meeting is all about missions. I know it will plant even more seeds in their young minds!
Well, I better head up family worship! May God bless!!
