..........Garhett, when he gets home he will have many stories to tell and share. He told us one that happened yesterday. Okay, so the "group" went to a mall, to have a break from their normal classes, etc. Well, this isn't Garhett's thing or ours, so he was trying to find something to do, to waste time while everyone else shopped. He found.........an escalator...oh and not any escalator...he found, right beside each other....one going up and one going down! So, he went up, turned the corner and went down. He did this six or seven times, then noticed a girl was laughing at him. So, the next chance he got, he proceeded to go over to this girl and talk to her. Now, if any of you know Garhett, you know he doesn't know a stranger. When he was very little, this was nerve racking for me at times. He loved everyone and trusted everyone. As he has gotten older he understands you can't trust everyone, but he still talks to everyone! So, back to his story...he asked her what she was laughing at. She said, "You!" He asked her if she wanted to ride the escalator....so she went up and down a few times. Then, she grabbed his phone and typed her number into it. He asked her to the seminars they are having and he said he was going to call her to remind her. I told him that one phone call is fine, to invite a soul to Christ, but after that.....no MORE!! He chuckled and said, "Yes, Mama...I wouldn't!" That kid...he is working for Christ and I am so happy that he is. I can't wait to see him. In a few days we will be there and get to see what he's been doing.
Yesterday, we went and checked out some different properties for sale. We went clear up to the boarder of Canada. It was gorgeous! I took some pictures, but I haven't put them on the computer yet. When I do I will post some!
I hope you all had a great Sabbath day!!! We sure did!!
God reaches people in various ways! He used fun with an escalator to plant a seed! I can't wait to hear all the stories my dd is storing up for us. She isn't much of a phone person...she just keeps saying , "i have so much to tell you!"
