It was the first week of school and everyone did a fantastic job! I am so pleased with all of them! All five of them (Garhett is going to the college this year) were so excited to start that they went full charge in to it all! As far as Seth goes....the kid is so smart! I thought it would be at least two years until I taught him how to read...oh no, not this kid! He has a gift when it comes to language and he's zooming through the reading lessons! It's so cool!
It is so great to have Garhett home, without him to home school. When I am in the middle of something, he takes care of someone else, until I can get to it. I had an appt. this week, for my eyes and Garhett finished school for me while I was gone! Isn't that just neat? He starts his classes in a couple of weeks, so I am going to use him while I can. His grandma's are as well! : )
A friend of ours is in the tomato business. She blessed our family with 60lbs, or more of them this week! I was able to make 48 quarts of spaghetti/pizza sauce! She also gave us cantaloupe, peppers, egg plant, cucumbers...it's such a gift. We also were given a ton of hand-me-down clothes from family and a friend at church. I love to get clothes that others have grown out of!
Today, my mom wanted us to go to a few yard sales. I love going to them! It's so fun to find "new" things at a rock bottom price! So...we went. The kids were so excited, because this was the last time this year we would be able to go. They were soon disappointed because they were terrible today! Oh well...there's always next year....unless the Lord comes!!! : )
I better get going. It is soon to be Sabbath and I have a few more things to prepare for! Have a great 3-day weekend!
