Fall Cleaning

Garhett getting some fall stuff done.

Nathan and the other kids were in on the "clean-up" too!
This is just the beginning! Our leaves on the cherry trees are just starting to turn. One night it got down to 30 degrees and my grape leaves froze to a brown/black color over night and are now falling. One of our favorite things to do is rake leaves! So, there will be more pictures coming. The strange thing is, our walnut trees were loaded with walnuts this year. We do have a couple of squirrels and they couldn't have been the little thieves....but the walnuts are gone! What happens is, they fall to the ground and we gather them, let them dry so their black husk comes off easier and then crack them. There are a few hanging on the tree still, but hardly any! Now, these trees aren't little...they are HUGE! Could these little rascals have stolen all of them? We do have some wild bunnies around here that have a nest a few feet from the trees. I don't know...I am so disappointed. I am running out of walnuts....so crazy! Maybe this means the animals are storing up because it's going to be a hard winter?
Well, more pictures to come!
Happy fall!! God bless.....
