Well, the final count on applesauce is.............202 jars! That's not to bad. I am hoping that I won't have to make any next year, but with this group...that may not be possible.
I am so thankful for the bounty of the land, but I have to say I am thankful that the canning season is over! We made raspberry, blackberry, apricot, strawberry and cherry jam. We also canned peaches and of course applesauce. We also dried apples, peaches and grapes. There's lots of stuff we preserved, but all of it, isn't coming to mind at the moment.

The kids have been working on recital pieces. There is always lots of "music" going on around here! I love every minute of it. They participated in a recital recently and are now working on another one that is happening the week of Thanksgiving!

Mitchell, playing the pieces, Determination, Carefree, Melody and March.

Tori, playing the piece, Minuete.

Nathan, has started piano lessons and is doing marvelous. He doesn't miss a practice!

Ellie, has started piano, too! She loves it and practices every day. Her goal is to be able to start violin soon.
All of the children are in our children's choir. Yes, even Garhett decided he missed it and wanted to join again! Seth is learning the parts and it's so cute to see how he concentrates on the director! The whole choir has improved and they are working towards Christmas concerts.
