How can it be Friday again? Another week has quickly passed by and life is changing so fast! Seth, had some milestones this last week....it had been a whole year since we met him in Ethiopia, he celebrated his 7th birthday (first one in America!) and he now has been home and a part of this family for an entire year! He says, "I really like having so many brothers and sisters and a Mama and Daddy all my own. It's fun in America!"
Garhett, he is anxiously awaiting his driving test, on his birthday, a couple of weeks away! He also took the compass test (an entrance exam to enter Running Start at our college here in town) yesterday and passed with flying colors! Now....what's the next step? We pray and pray and pray to know what the right decision is and go to his appointment in a couple of weeks with an advisor.
Kids grow up so fast! When they are little you think you are so busy and it will be years before they are grown...then all of a sudden...it's here!
The meetings at church are phenomenal. We have a lot of people attending every night. The most exciting thing to us, is Mitchell and Tori have decided to be baptised and the evangelist said he would be delighted to do it! It's so cute...we don't have tv (well, we have a box that sits there and we decide what the kids can watch, not cable!) our kids aren't into the "worldly" entertainment, so this Evangelist is their "movie star" and to be baptised by him, is an exciting thing! What a huge step in their Christian walk. I am so proud of both of them. Each night we are given a study to take home. Both of them, diligently study them every day and are ready for the next meeting! I have enjoyed it and meeting new people is fun, also!
Well, I better finish dinner and the house before hubby gets home. The kids, my niece and mom and I went to a couple of yard sales this morning. We were hoping to find some good stuff. The only thing we found was a "almost-new" infant car seat, for my almost-born nephew. The kids were disappointed, so we ended up going to Goodwill. We found a couple of things. We thought there would be a lot of them this morning, because it's our town's annual "parade" weekend. I can't wait for it to be over, there are so many people in town and traffic is crazy! I have lived here all of my life (with the exception of two years in a college town) and have never been to the parade. Being a Sabbath keeper and it's on Sabbath, I never have! I hear I haven't missed out on anything, except.......seeing people intoxicated, bad language and all of what goes with it!
Well, have a great weekend and God bless!
